Starting a blog.....

Hello everyone out there in blog/world wide web world! Starting a blog is so exciting to me! I have spent the beginnning of this new school year pouring over some really cool art teacher blogs.  They truly have me inspired to start my own, so here it goes, our Wendell Elementary art class blog!  Here you will find what's going on in our art room, our current art projects, ideas for extensions at home, cool projects for you to do at home, great art websites to visit, and general info on what's going on here in room 101.

Up first...the NC State Fair!

 Each year, every school in NC is invited to enter up to 6 pieces of student work for the visual art exhibit at the fair. This art exhibit is a competition and the elementary level is the most competitive.  We have never won 1st place in the fair but, I always feel we have some of the best work that I have seen displayed.  I am so proud of our students each and every year.  This year is no exception! This year

each and EVERYONE of our students got a gold seal on their artwork. That means that the judges thought they did an exceptional job on their work.
